It seems like people with accounts have permission while others do not.

Had a little more time to play with it so relatively used to things by now.

Heh. It's all extremely similar to 17thshard, the Brandon Sanderson fansite. Barely need to adapt to anything. :)

Regarding the points, we're right now running into some problems with the site update, which most importantly includes a table no longer working but instead showing as a bunch of hard-to-read code. We're working on it though, and with some luck we can get everything fixed soon.

Check out the thread on this in the DM bug board - looks like someone figured it out.

Here. I don´t like this new DM. But I have a hard time adapting to new things in general. (Well, at least when it comes to anything that has to do with computers or phones or anything with buttons.) :D

I have mostly tried to check it out on my phone and it doesn´t work very well. But it could be me. I will have to get used to things before I can get more active here again.

I don't think anyone's having an easy time with it on the phone.

I thought it was quite easy to navigate it on the phone.

I've heard others say it's not good on chrome. I'm on iOS, safari. Really awful on the phone, manageable but not optimal on the tablet.

It's doing fine on the PC with Chrome, only annoying that the posts aren't properly centered because there's a recent posts box at the right which doesn't scroll down. But that's a matter of getting used to.

Yes, most who can use a pc says it's optimized for it.

I asked Verb about that a few months ago (before the site update), he said it was something they had considered but decided not to do, for undisclosed reasons.

I think the reasons would be that upvoting goes with downvoting and that leads to jerkery and leaves members without a lot of likes, even without downvoting, feel left out. Maybe it's something else but when I've seen it elsewhere it was like a high school cool kids vs everyone else thing.

I disagree. I would downvote everyone equally :-p

Eh, the two other forums I frequent did have a voting system and that worked fine. Though, one of them only has upvotes and is very heavily moderated (which makes for a great community tbh) and the other recently removed downvotes.

By the way, the most annoying thing about the site update: It's the same 'kind' of forum (if that makes sense) as the 17thshard, which means both share the same notification sound. So I'm never sure which forum is calling for attention...

    • Just go back and look at any and all of the BA hunter POVs. Or those of any other prominent AS in the later books. Half the greens are described as wearing "deeply plunging necklines that exposed half the woman's bosam" or, they describe some other AS as "you would think she was a green," because of her neckline.
    • I suppose that's a less "out there" interpretation of it, and would yield to it being a more defensible position.   I've always been curious every time they say that any force used against it only makes it stronger.   How does the strength of something 'unbreakable' increase, and how would an average person test that?  Wouldn't the theory just stop at "that stuff doesn't break" instead of needing to guess at a strength increase?
    •   I don't think the indestructibility of cuendillar implies the absolute rigidity of its molecular structure. We know that the True Power can destroy cuendillar, and we are told that it absorbs any force attempting to break it.   To me, this implies that cuendillar's atomic or molecular structure is more like memory foam instead of a rock. You can apply force in an attempt to change or break its bonds, but it will just return to its normal state. Of course, the threshold of force necessary to even change those bonds is probably very high to begin with.
    • I've been singing a good fourteen years, give or take.  And thanks!   And I did sing about a farm in that little clip--I sang about Parliament.
I'll be singing another set of songs soon--although, alas, none of the songs will be about a farm, although I'm quite sure many farmers and farmhands will have sung said songs.    I'll figure things out and give y'all something worthy--my talents are not only in my vocal skills (or lack thereof) and my other musical skills--apart from music, my skill is probably in writing--and I will employ it here.  I can't tell you how dull writing a dissertation can get sometimes--but on the other hand, writing something creative is magnificent--even if you're just writing to yourself and have invented someone to talk to in formulating your thoughts, it's like your character runs away from you, you just become a typist.
