I work for an insurance company, in a small department that helps customers with targeted chronic diseases that use expensive specialty medications... we outreach to check on them several times a year, make sure their refills are being managed and the insurance authorization stays current, answer benefit questions and help coordinate any changes in treatment... and get them to the appropriate clinical staff if they have questions about their condition or medication.

 

It gets tedious talking on the phone to strangers all day, but I manage about 350 customers and many of them I've been working with for a few years now. Some of them are like old friends... and most of the time it's pretty rewarding.

 

It would be nice if it paid more, or if i didn't have to punch a time clock and could just leave when my work was done for the day

So you get paid to talk on the phone all day. As much as that sounds physically easier, I don't think I could do that. I hate talking on the phone for five minutes.

 

On my side, roofing is not very satisfying, although I do get a sweet tan. No shade=brown Ethan

I love the lady, but I dread when my mom calls. She manages to chatter away twenty or thirty minutes away about nothing most times before I can get her off the phone lol
