	Hello! I'm new here but I've been looking around and really like what I see.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I'm on my third reading of the epic series <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> (currently reading "Crossroads of Twilight"). My first turn was in the early 00's. I really enjoyed the series but there are so many books to read that I didn't get around to my second reading until Amazon released the <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> series.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	While it was fun to see some of my favorite characters come to life with their amazing casting choices (except for Mat...I have thoughts), I was a bit disappointed in how the writers and creators chose to introduce Randland. The opening scene introduces the Red Ajah and not Emond's Field. The series finally gets good in season 3 and then they go and cancel it! Sigh. But I digress...
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I'd love some tips on how things are run here. If I were an <abbr title="Robert Jordan">RJ</abbr> character in the Wheel of Time, I would be Samarah of Arafell, Accepted in the White Tower striving to be a Yellow. My family are farmers, south of the Blight but always wary of Shadowspawn. I've already eyed a training Warder that I have my heart set on. I'm not complicated. I just want to heal people. That's my only ambition.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I hope to find community here. From what I've seen, it's pretty great.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	By the Light,
</p>

	Greetings!  I read <em>The Wheel of Time</em> with a discord-based book club last year (finished up in March this year), and I loved it.  I'd love to discuss stuff about the story, specifically some missed opportunities in regard to queer depiction.

	Hello all!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Last year, I finally finished <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> after 20+ years of not really reading books at all. I stopped reading after Crossroads of Twilight when it was first released (life and all), but I rediscovered the books thanks to the TV show and Rosamund Pike's audiobook versions. I finished up with Kramer and Reading and finally got the end of the story! Audiobooks were ideal for me, since I've been recovering from knee surgeries and could listen while doing physio exercises. I've got more surgeries ahead of me and still can't walk properly, so Wheel of Time has become my comfy obsession and distraction.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	After finishing the books, I decided to try my hand at painting character portraits based on the details given in the texts. Jordan's descriptions are so rich and clear in some passages, and I didn't often see a lot of fan art depicting outfits Jordan described. Where characters have an iconic look (ie Mat and his hat, or Galad in a whitecloak uniform), I'll do them in those. I do the basic portrait, and then later turn it into a graphic with variations if needed (ie, I wanted to give Morgase a Queen Elizabeth frill despite it not being in the books, but couldn't work in the Andorran stole with it, so she has an alt version with no frill where she wears her stole.)
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	So, I started a long term project/distraction to plug away at this year. But! I'm probably going to need help locating descriptions in the books where I can't remember them, or if I forget details.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	My next subject is Gawyn, and I'm planning to paint him in the outfit he's described as wearing in <abbr title="The Dragon Reborn">TDR</abbr>, Chapter 16, <em>Hunters Three</em>, which is basically a dark green coat and white shirt, so nothing too complicated, but I was wondering if there are any other passages describing his clothing. I know in EotW, he's written as wearing red, white, and gold clothing, a coat and cloak that are brocaded and embroidered, but I've already done Rand and Morgase in red and don't want more red lol.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	If anyone has any suggestions of where I can look in the text for descriptions of what Gawyn wears, I'd be eternally grateful!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<a href="https://www.tumblr.com/hedoniaobscura" rel="external nofollow">You can see the images I've already done on my tumblr</a>, and read my rambling there about my artistic choices for each. I've just finished Elayne in her EoTW outfit and have already done Galad, Rand, Berelain, Morgase, Bela, and Thom.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thank you all!
</p>

	Howdy, I'm Andrew, a software engineer who specializes in writing security-related application code for networking and cryptographic products.

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I'm a massive <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> fan. As of 2026-3-11, I have:
</p>

<ol>
	<li>
		Discovered <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> by virtue of picking up <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Crossroads_of_Twilight" title="Crossroads of Twilight" rel="external nofollow">Crossroads of Twilight</a> in a bookstore circa 2005 or so.
	</li>
	<li>
		Read all of the main series and <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/New_Spring" title="New Spring" rel="external nofollow">New Spring</a> twice.
	</li>
	<li>
		Listened to the main series audio books about six or seven times.
	</li>
	<li>
		Converted <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/The_Complete_Wheel_of_Time" title="The Complete Wheel of Time" rel="external nofollow">The Complete Wheel of Time</a> and <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/The_Wheel_of_Time_Companion" title="The Wheel of Time Companion" rel="external nofollow">TWOTC</a> into <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/markdown" title="wikipedia:markdown" rel="external nofollow">markdown</a>↗ and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JSON" title="wikipedia:JSON" rel="external nofollow">JSON</a>↗ files for my own use.
	</li>
	<li>
		Started getting meaningfully involved in online <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> discussion during the 2020 pandemic.
	</li>
	<li>
		Founded <a href="http://redhand.band/" rel="external nofollow">The Band of the Red Hand</a><a href="http://redhand.band/" rel="external nofollow">↗</a> in 2021.
	</li>
	<li>
		Read the <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Big_White_Book" title="Big White Book" rel="external nofollow">Big White Book</a> twice.
	</li>
	<li>
		Skimmed much of <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/The_Wheel_of_Time_Companion" title="The Wheel of Time Companion" rel="external nofollow">The Wheel of Time Companion</a>.
	</li>
	<li>
		Read <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Origins_of_the_Wheel_of_Time" title="Origins of the Wheel of Time" rel="external nofollow">Origins of the Wheel of Time</a> and given a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/live/ftQf4p2IBMc?si=ZTat20pPETRdcgog" rel="external nofollow">2-hour review</a><a href="https://www.youtube.com/live/ftQf4p2IBMc?si=ZTat20pPETRdcgog" rel="external nofollow">↗</a> of it.
	</li>
	<li>
		Made a "pilgrimage" to Charleston, including the library at The Citadel, <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Ogier" title="Ogier" rel="external nofollow">Ogier</a> Street, and the sidewalk in front of the property where Robert Jordan wrote The Wheel of Time. On the way back, I stopped by a suburban neighborhood with street names like "<a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Min_Farshaw" title="Min Farshaw" rel="external nofollow">Farshaw</a>" and "<a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Mat_Cauthon" title="Mat Cauthon" rel="external nofollow">Cauthon</a>". Incidentally, <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/WetlanderHumor/comments/11qqebj/dump_truck_collision_minimal_damage/" rel="external nofollow">the Farshaw street sign was very askew</a><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/WetlanderHumor/comments/11qqebj/dump_truck_collision_minimal_damage/" rel="external nofollow">↗</a>, as though it had been hit by a dump truck or some such.
	</li>
	<li>
		A future such trip will involve perusing Jordan's notes.
	</li>
	<li>
		Recruited both of my sisters into reading <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr>. The younger has finished the series and is fairly active in my Discord. The older has great difficulty liking any of the significant female characters except Moiraine and Nynaeve and bailed on the series after <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Birgitte_Silverbow" title="Birgitte Silverbow" rel="external nofollow">Birgitte</a> was ripped from <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Tel%27aran%27rhiod" title="Tel'aran'rhiod" rel="external nofollow">Tel'aran'rhiod</a> in <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/The_Fires_of_Heaven" title="The Fires of Heaven" rel="external nofollow">The Fires of Heaven</a>.
	</li>
	<li>
		Assembled a <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Mat_Cauthon" title="Mat Cauthon" rel="external nofollow">Mat Cauthon</a> costume. I'm still working on procuring the ring, the foxhead medallion, and the throwing knives. He's not my favorite character, but he's probably the most entertaining character. He's also the character whose physical description I most closely match. Also, as founder of a Discord called <a href="https://discord.redhand.band/" rel="external nofollow">The Band of the Red Hand</a><a href="https://discord.redhand.band/" rel="external nofollow">↗</a>, I've gone by the alias Mat Cauthon frequently.
		<ol>
			<li>
				An <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Ashandarei" title="Ashandarei" rel="external nofollow">Ashandarei</a> (or close enough)
			</li>
			<li>
				A <a href="https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Mat%27s_Gear" title="Mat's Gear" rel="external nofollow">wide-brimmed black hat</a>.

			</li>
			<li>
				A dice cup
			</li>
			<li>
				A black scarf.
			</li>
		</ol>
	</li>
	<li>
		Obtained a license plate named after a <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> character.
	</li>
	<li>
		Acquired the following <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> items:
		<ol>

	I am so excited to geek out here with you guys! I’m on Winter’s Heart (9) for my fourth reading. I have to devote about a year each time I read the series (I’m a busy mom) but TOTALLY worth every second. This series has saved my sanity at different points (specifically the first Trump administration, and now the second). I look to these amazing books when I need comfort and, frankly, escapism (in the best way). <span class="ipsEmoji">😝</span>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I read the <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> and finished a full read through about 10 years ago. It always stuck with me like no other book and I am now rereading through it a second time. I really felt I wanted to be part of a community because burn me, I just don’t stop thinking of <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr>. I’m sort of new to forums like this online so any suggestions on how to be active and actually contribute is welcomed. Hope to meet you all!

<p>
	I've been a Wheel of Time fan since the mid 90's. I was involved in some <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> MU*s (online text based roleplay). Specifically Tales of Ta'veren and Cuendillar. The later of which I staffed at and where I acquired this online <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> username. I mostly stayed away from the fandom while the books were coming out besides those two MU*s. In the last few years I was drawn in by the Wheel Weaves podcast which helped reinvigorate a reread, lead me to <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> Discord servers and eventually to producing a few <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> song Parodies for <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> Idol (<a href="http://www.youtube.com/@mycoursouvra" rel="external nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/@mycoursouvra</a>). I eventually found the Dragonmount Discord (thanks to Rapunzel) and wandered over here. I wouldn't mind getting involved in roleplay again though I need to figure out how it works on a forum site.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Anyway, nice to meet everyone.

	I put in my profile that my pronouns are It/Its but that's just an online thing. I like being androgynous, mysterious, and nebulous online but mostly don't care too much about if someone uses it/its or he/him.

	Hey everyone!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Over 20 years ago, I dabbled in the RP side of Dragonmount. After high school, though, life smacked me upside the head and I stopped playing. I had no idea this site was still around until this past weekend, and here I am. Part of me is still convinced this is some kind of fever dream, so I am very excited to interact with everyone to prove that this is, indeed, real.

	Hello! Firstly, I will admit I have not read the books yet, despite reading GRRM’s collection, Rowling, Tolkiens many works, including the preceding histories and elvish learning.. at least enough to give their elvish tattoos in henna at Ren Faires here in michigan ( though I admit it’s been years since my last visit, it’s become harder for me to get there)
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	i also want to say, i am high functioning autistic, before anyone becomes confused with how i conduct myself
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	 i have only seen the show so far, but have the books in my possession as of yesterday, and very excited despite knowing how different from the show it will be
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	 i know I’m supposed to talk of myself in this post.. to introduce myself and all that nonsense. It’s plainly not in my character to announce all my personal secrets, be they personality or otherwise <span class="ipsEmoji">😉</span>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	 I’m excited to be here! More so, I’m excited to meet like minded people. My inner circle is small and I’ve been going through life changes which will distance me further from those I know best. Those secrets will come in time; I’m not so great at keeping them, once I feel at home
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	 HELLO! I love the name of the site. I’m a dragon myself, 1988. A Libra on the cusp of Virgo, with a Pisces moon sign. However, I don’t look my age, as is common among those on the spectrum; I’ve also been a health “freak” as long as I can remember.. blame my mother for starting that.

	Howdy Y'all!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I've been into the <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> series for a little less than 3 decades now, a couple more years and it'll be 3 decades, and never got around to introducing myself. So here goes.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I was perusing the Web looking for <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> lore to enrich my knowledge of the Westlands. After having reread the series my 4th or 5th time. The <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> Encyclopaedia lead me here. At first, I was going to leave, but almost instantly found a CYOA that piqued my interest. <a contenteditable="false" data-ipshover="" data-ipshover-target="https://dragonmount.com/profile/19279-ithillian-turambar/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="19279" href="https://dragonmount.com/profile/19279-ithillian-turambar/" rel="">@Ithillian Turambar</a> helped me find the Organizations. I cannot thank her enough for this. This got me into the Band, where I am currently trying to move up the ranks in the Infantry. This caused me to get my Wife, <a contenteditable="false" data-ipshover="" data-ipshover-target="https://dragonmount.com/profile/47391-prowler/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="47391" href="https://dragonmount.com/profile/47391-prowler/" rel="">@Prowler</a> involved.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Currently we have been hanging out in the Band, and in Shayol Ghul... I know, it can be a scary place, but it feels good to embrace one's dark side from time to time. My Wife has also been hanging around the White Tower as well. I will find my way there someday, but for now, I am helping breathe life into organizations that have been quiet. It saddens me to see the Black Tower full of nothing but echoes. Maybe one day we can breathe new life into it. I don't want to see any organization disappear. I have heard there was a Wolfkin, possibly Aiel, and somewhere I think I read there was an Ogier Stedding! If dying Organizations can be revived, who's to say that dead Organizations can't be resurrected! I would love to be a Wolfbrother, even an Aiel! Heck, being an Ogier would be just as awesome. So, PM me, come check out the Organizations with me, or just chitchat on this thread. There is a home for everyone here, and sometimes, more than one home! Quoting <a contenteditable="false" data-ipshover="" data-ipshover-target="https://dragonmount.com/profile/19279-ithillian-turambar/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="19279" href="https://dragonmount.com/profile/19279-ithillian-turambar/" rel="">@Ithillian Turambar</a> to me in a PM, "you can join all the organizations!" Come find your home in Dragonmount and meet new friends who are just as excited about <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> as you are. You'll be pleasantly surprised!

	Hi I'm Taluka! I re-joined today after a very long hiatus. I was a member quite a few years ago (say... over a decade ago. EDIT: I've been told it's more like 18 years... thank you Sin), but life inevitably got in the way of my time here. After watching the TV series and being inspired to re-read the books, I have found my way back to Dragonmount.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I'm not sure how many original members there would be but I will be interested to see if I recognise any names. I hope you are all well and look forward to getting to know you and delving back into the stories and lore of The Wheel of Time, as well as perhaps creating my own stories to boot.

	Having just finished the entire Wheel of Time series, I’m left breathless by its sheer epic scope. Robert Jordan has crafted an incredibly immersive world: from the soaring towers of the Aes Sedai to the ever-shifting weaving of elemental magic, from intertwined prophecies to the complex emotional bonds between characters. Every page transported me into the land of the Aiel Waste and beyond. Following Rand, Egwene, Elayne, Perrin, and their companions, I felt their pains of growth and witnessed their fearless struggles and sacrifices. What moved me most was the interplay of “reincarnation” and “destiny” — we are all links in the Pattern, unable to escape yet able to shine through our choices. As I closed the final book, I felt both fulfilled by its grand conclusion and nostalgic for that unfinished world, itching to embark on that fateful journey once more.

	Hi all. I am new to Dragonmount, thanks to my hubby for the introduction to the books and this world. I have loved the books thus far. I am on the last book, but life has too many <span class="ipsEmoji">🔥</span>'s right now, however, I look forward to diving back in and hoping this would spark that. I have ADHD, so this all seems a little overwhelming right now <span class="ipsEmoji">😬</span>, but I look forward to exploring more <span class="ipsEmoji">🤩</span>.

	Hi there -
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	My most reckonings, I'd be considered a newcomer to <abbr title="Robert Jordan"><abbr title="Robert Jordan">RJ</abbr></abbr>'s <abbr title="Wheel of Time"><abbr title="Wheel of Time">WOT</abbr></abbr>. Although, I read a ton of fantasy - I only got sucked into <abbr title="Wheel of Time"><abbr title="Wheel of Time">WOT</abbr></abbr> around the covid pandemic era. If I recall I was on the last bit of the 3rd book by the time the Amazon TV series first aired.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Prior to that - I'd always heard about The Wheel of Time but it kept getting pushed down my read list for no particular reason - I started reading Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archives due to my brother recommending Way of Kings (which is my fav Sanderson book) and Mistborn sagas and I heard he was the guy who finished <abbr title="Wheel of Time"><abbr title="Wheel of Time">WOT</abbr></abbr> after <abbr title="Robert Jordan"><abbr title="Robert Jordan">RJ</abbr></abbr>'s untimely passing.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Slipping into the books - I fell in love with the Emond's Fienders, and found myself getting more invested page by page - by the time I reached the end of <abbr title="Wheel of Time"><abbr title="Wheel of Time">WOT</abbr></abbr> the characters felt like old friends. <abbr title="Robert Jordan"><abbr title="Robert Jordan">RJ</abbr></abbr>'s world building, and his ability to weave familiar mythology and fantasy themes into a new story is something I have a lot of respect for.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I mainly joined this forum because I consider myself a <abbr title="Wheel of Time"><abbr title="Wheel of Time">WOT</abbr></abbr> fan - no one I know has read the <abbr title="Wheel of Time"><abbr title="Wheel of Time">WOT</abbr></abbr> in full which makes having a conversation about it outside a place like this, slim pickings. Another reason is ever since finishing the books, I've had some withdrawal symptoms lol. It's seriously hard for me to find anything quite so engrossing to read.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Maybe it would interest some long time <abbr title="Wheel of Time"><abbr title="Wheel of Time">WOT</abbr></abbr> fans to know the books still attract newcomers - ^_^
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<em>May you always find water and shade.</em>

	I have read these books multiple times over the last 20 years or so, they are amongst my favourites (up there with Game of Thrones, Sword of Truth, Druss the Legend and many more).
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I have visited these forums many times too, though I have never registered to post anything I find myself wanting to now, hence registering. Although I have not ever seen a requirement for people to post here first to introduce themselves I have seen people berated for not doing so in previous forum visits/reads. So, hi!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I have been enjoying the TV show, moving between sadness for the things they've had to change or drop and happiness for the fact that the show is improving and encompassing more of the story as it goes on. There are a small list of scenes I personally like and hope to see, as I am sure every fan has their small list too, so we'll see how that goes.

	Hi everyone! I'm thrilled to be a part of Dragonmount and connect with fellow <em>Wheel of Time</em> fans. I've been a fan of the series for a while now and recently completed all the books. The world Robert Jordan created is so immersive, and I'm always excited to discuss everything from the Aes Sedai to the intricacies of the One Power.
</p>

<p>
	I’m particularly interested in how the show has adapted the books and hearing different fan theories about the future of the series. It’s been great seeing how the fandom has grown, especially with the new TV series bringing even more attention to the books.
</p>

<p>
	If anyone has recommendations for discussions or in-depth lore topics to dive into, I’d love to join! I’m also happy to share my thoughts on character arcs and plot developments if anyone’s interested.
</p>

<p>
	Looking forward to meeting other fans and participating in the great conversations here on Dragonmount!

	I have finally decided to join this site after the many years of my wife telling me to.  I have been reading the book series since The Dragon Reborn was released, but I have to say I love listening to the audiobooks with Michael &amp; Kate.  I read anything Sanderson, but I love the challenge of trying to understand Malazan Book of the Fallen.  Of course there is always room for Drizzt &amp; Harry Dresden!  Many of you know my wife, the last person standing in the Hamilton Mafia game.  So proud of her, but wow, was that a stressful week!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	If anyone wants to chat about different books or games, let me know!  I have already joined the Tower and am looking forward to poking around a bit.  Looking forward to meeting everyone!

	Hello Dragonmount,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I've been reading <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> for about 3 years and have made it up to the aftermath of the Caemlyn in book 5, the Fires of Heaven. I'm really enjoying the series especially the more recent books that I've read. The Visions of Rhuidean is one of my favorite pieces of story telling that I've experienced. I typically listen to the audio books on my commute home from work but will sometimes pull out a physical copy or look for a chapter summary on the TarValon Library wiki to answer some of my own questions, especially when it comes to keeping track of who's who. Keeping the Forsaken straight is probably my biggest challenge right now being an audio book listener, but I think I'm getting a feel for who's who and trying to figure out their motivations is interesting: I'm shocked to see Asmodean playing so nice right now, I assume he's just incredibly afraid of Lanfear. I also do watch the show, overall I thought the first two seasons were a little rough but they did get me into the series but it seems to be getting better and although the rate that things are happening is really ramping up, I think they've done a much better job at bringing the cool moments from the Shadow Rising to the screen.
</p>

<p>
	Today, as I was listening, I had a question that I really wish I could talk with someone about, which is what motivated me to seek out the community here. Rand was thinking about his Lews Therin Telamon memories and the other names of the Forsaken while in a post battle discussion with Asmodean and Aviendha. As I mentioned before, this got me thinking of Asmodean's motivations which in turn made me wonder about the cyclical nature of the world and what people believe will happen after the last battle. This caught my interest, because in some ways it doesn't make sense based on my understanding of Ishamael's beliefs, but maybe I'm jumping to another question too quickly. Let me try and spell out my noticings and wonderings. Hopefully there's a minimal amount of mistakes and misunderstandings and you can follow my thought process.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	1. Is the prophesized last battle part of the cycle? I guess I always assumed it was. That after the event that released the Dark One, my understanding was there would be a period of respite and progress and then the Dark One would come back again in the next age.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	2. What do the people of the world think will happen if the light wins? If they lose? How does this belief change depending on the factions individuals belong to?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	3. Historically, the dragon has always won. If the Dark One won and it wasn't a reality ending event, yes I could see avoiding it would still be the preference, but it wouldn't carry the fate altering weight that this event seems to. Why would immortal characters like the Forsaken join the Dark One for fleeting victories every few centuries? What would start the cycle over again once the Dark One is in a position of unbridled power?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	4. This particular last battle might be different. Maybe it would bring an end to the cycle of the Dark One's rise to power and influence on the world. I'm not sure why this one is different. <em>Maybe it's because it's the during the age we're reading about in the book series.</em> But from my reading and some of the characters' dialogue it seems implied that there could be a change this time. Maybe Rand is more different than previous Lews Therins.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	5. If Ishamael believes that the Dark One's success is inevitable over a long enough time line, why is Rand still alive? No dragon at the last battle means the light loses. Ishamael makes it sound like this outcome has happened before, what happened after that? Why wasn't that the end of it? What else needs to happen for the Dark One to win entirely?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I think I might be losing the thread of my initial question. I'm really not trying to ask what happens in the rest of the series, but I am wildly curious about what people believe has happened in the past and what they think might happen. These beliefs seem core to any motivations the different characters might have.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks for reading and engaging with my questions! It really is such an imaginative series, it's a lot of fun to think about these fictional histories and I appreciate hearing about things I may have missed and various interpretations. I'm not the most concerned with spoilers, especially when it comes to references to the world and lore which can typically be kept more general anyways.

	Hey! I'm TwinStorm (Stormy) and a huge fan of the Wheel of Time! I have a lot of thoughts and opinions on the books, and what they could do better, and dislike the series, though I appreciate it for what it's worth. I'm also a huge fan of Brandon Sanderson (find me on the 17th Shard as TwinStorm, and say hi) and Tolkien, but consider the Wheel of Time to be the best of any modern fantasy series, and have strong beliefs that <abbr title="A Memory of Light">AMOL</abbr> is the best series ending I've ever read.

	Hello, I am not exactly new. I am a lost soul that recently found her way back. I recently finally got around to getting the Wheel of Time series off my TBR list and I am currently on the Lord of Chaos.

	Hello Dragonmount. Feels good to walk your streets once again though so much is different. You really can’t go home again. <br />

</p>

<p>
	I’m Millon. I was active here well
</p>

<p>
	over ten years ago. I did pop back in from time to time to see how things were but I never really stuck it out. Too busy “looking for home” instead of trying to see what’s here now.  “Hey! What went into the old Blockbuster Rental over on fifth? Oh. A Spirit of Halloween. Makes sense….” I was mostly in the White Tower Social Group though I was in The Band, Black Tower and Kin. Not a whole lot though aside from the Tower. <br />

</p>

<p>
	I’ve only ever read the entire series at length once believe it or not. I read the first nine more times than I care to think about though. Just life got in the way. Not because I’m particularly fond of the first nine. I forced myself to find time to finish it when it ended. That’s all. I find it hard to read anything anymore really! lol. <br />

</p>

<p>
	I am filled with gross disappointment for most of the show. I think they absolutely NAILED channeling and shadowspawn and most of the casting is pretty fantastic. <br />

</p>

<p>
	I guess I’m writin a new intro because I’d really like to see what’s great about this place today and not filtering it through memories. Kinda like watching the show! Hahahahaha. <br />

</p>

<p>
	I’m a single dad of a ten year old special needs kiddo. Of course, a fantasy nerd. I paint Warhammer figurines and I enjoy working on my D&amp;D campaign setting though I don’t actually play (yet) lol. Critical Role really re-ignited that interest about ten or so years ago. Dont seem to have much of an attention span for new TV shows or movies or things on TV. Unless you want to get down with Bluey discussions! I’m down for that! Greatest bloody cartoon ever. Not a big sportsball guy but GO BILLS!! <br />

</p>

<p>
	I’m glad to be back though. Really hoping I can stick around again. I’ve built some of the greatest relationships of my life in this place. Friends I’ve never even ‘met’ but I consider closer than most of my family and friends. I’m glad to still see some of them here. Looking forward to meeting new friends as well. <br />

</p>

<p>
	uhhhhh, yeah. That’s it. Good to meet you all.
</p>

	Hi all!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I had been wanting to read <strong>The Wheel of Time</strong> for years - since I was a teenager - and I decided to finally get to it at the grand old age of 30. I wish I had indeed read it back when I was a teenager and had the chance to be part of all the discussions and speculations and the wait for each book to come out but hey, I guess the most important thing in the end is experiencing the vast and rich world of the books. I'm currently on chapter 42 of <em>The Eye of the World</em> and excited to finish it soon and move on to <em>The Great Hunt</em>.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks for having me!
</p>

	Hello, my name is Pavel and I'm from Bulgaria, from the city of Plovdiv also known as the city of the seven hills. I've been a fan of the Wheel of Time for a long time, and I even recently made a small musical project with entirely computer music on the topic <span class="ipsEmoji">🙂</span>

	I feel like I saw Dragonmount a couple years back, but I'd already left my <abbr title="Wheel of Time">WoT</abbr> superfan days behind mostly so I wasn't terribly keen on making an account. I guess things aligned, so here I am now! <span class="ipsEmoji">😃</span>
