I'm sure a bunch of you know who I am, what I do and what I use to do here at DM. I am a coder at heart, specifically CSS and XHTML and throw a bit of PHP and mySQL in to that as well. DM8 is a neat little peice of software, though I still find things to annoy the crap out of me. The Huge Gallery at the top of the message boards drove me literally insane. Insane enough I wrote a bit of CSS to get it out of the way. I've made the font size bigger and changed a little bit of other things to fix readability since that is one of the primary things I do here at DM, read RPs lol.

And one of the biggest things that I find annoying is the huge number of Social Groups/Communities (former Orgs). I hate leaving the category open cause I hate that much of a scroll, but I do like to follow Entertainment and the Artists and Writers guild. So I wrote me another little bit of CSS to fix that, so now I don't see all the crap there.

I figured there are alot of people out there like me who just get annoyed but it's not worth mentioning fixes or the likes. And it's easy to make it all reappear since it's not really gone anyway. In order to do this you'll need to have Firefox and the Stylish add-on installed. You might be able to do it in other browsers but since I don't use them I have no clue.

Create new stylish style rules for each of these so you can enable/disable what you want easily

For the Gallery Removal (not that it's needed anymore)

@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

@-moz-document domain("dragonmount.com") {
#attach_wrap {display: none !important;

For Removing collapsed Categories

@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

@-moz-document domain("dragonmount.com") {
.collapsed {display: none;}

For Changing readability settings like font size and color

@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

@-moz-document domain("www.dragonmount.com") {
.row1, .row2, .post_body {font-size: 105%; color: #000000; }
.row1 a, .row2 a {color: #000000 !important; }
.row1 a:hover, .row2 a:hover {color: #cc0000 !important; }

And finally for Removing unwanted rows of forums. I will explain it after the code is posted.

@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

@-moz-document domain("www.dragonmount.com") {
//Line 1 - remove this line here
#board_index .category_block:nth-child(4) tr.row1,
#board_index .category_block:nth-child(4) tr.row2 { display: none; }

//Line 2 - remove this line here
#board_index .category_block:nth-child(4) tr:nth-child(4),
#board_index .category_block:nth-child(4) tr:nth-child(3) { display:table-row; width: 100%; }

The first line for dragonmount basically says remove the 4th category block rows. The 4th set of rows is the Social groups you can choose any of the category groups starting with 1 and going down . Make sure you change it twice in the first line or you'll miss every other one.

The second line adds back the ones you want to actually see. The first number should be the same as the top, the second number is the number of the row you want to see, starting at 2 (The line that says forums is 1).

I am willing to help you if you want assistance, reply here, pm or email me (matalina@gmail.com) will gladly help you.

*edit* had to edit the post as it was messing up the forums themselves, but it's all good now!

*edit 2* Had to make another modification in the instructions.
