Many years have past since my family has gone on a real vacation. Last vacation we travelled to wonderful Wisconsin. We stayed in Janesville (the Hero of Canton!) and hit The House on the Rock. We didn't actually hit it, we literally ran through two of the three sections. It was fall. All of the trees has changed. Wonderful time of year. If you are a fan of Neil Gaiman's work. You know the House as a locale in his Magnum opus American Gods. It won the Hugo for best novel. Seriously bad ass fantasy fiction.
My dad has hooked us up for five days in a time share condo in Williamsburg, Virginia. Never been to Virginia but have always wanted to visit that area. I wonder what I can expect. Will there be any cool bookstores? I guess the local stuff is what interests me. Where do locals eat? Where do they shop for produce? Stuff like that. I have never stayed this long in any one place before either. We plan on going the third week in July. I am sure it will be very cool and dry. lol
Part of me just wants to sit by a pool with a nice margarita and chill. Things have been so hectic. damn.
